The estate business is evicting 30 thousand people in the capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh, and the existence of the lake Boeung Kak itself may be in danger. The League for the promotion and defense of the human rights in Cambodja (LICADHO) denounces that 4000 families will be expelled from their homes as a result of the cession -for the next 99 years- of the rights of 133 acres of the shore of the lake and of the lake in the Cambodian company Shukako Inc itself, approved of in February of 2007 for the Prime Minister Hun Sen in exchange for 79 million dollars to give a beginning to a great project urbanization that it contemplates commercial and industrial areas.
